When looking at reflections
it draws and paints from a spirit 
certain visions sit on the sidelines set aside 
afraid to choose honestly 
and grow a backbone straightened by facts 
in those refusing to stand up for the most basic human right 
Then again many follow the bully 
name calling suppressing the truth 
branding wisdom is condemned as worthless
unwise even if it contains evidence 
by hijacking the body planted in words 
Hard nuts to crack in those on the crooked path
supporting the removal of freedom 
easy to see the corrupted vices working together 
as one unit
underneath the veil their lies a clouded judgement against justice
The innocent can spot the guilty plotting and scheming 
violence runs in the nature of many cursing structured defence 
We are living under a dictatorship of evil snakes 
those that gather in the garden of Eden celebrating sacrifice
A good friend and brother in faith once said to me 
God has a string attached to you 
when you sin he slowly lets it loosen each step taken 
yet still connected to the source of our Creator 
suffering pride when your reeled back in again 
it is there you will own up on the last heartbeat 
it has always been between your heart and soul 
the path we end up taking in life can put a shadow on our future 
do we rise up in prayer or fall with the unholy
