Poem
it is still, like the wind after the rain has finally passed and the surface of the earth is dampened by the washing brought by the One who knows… even time must approach with hesitation, will her graceful slumber sooth away the darkness, the shadows, the shame of a soft, melting rain who cools the summer’s burning breath, the sprinkle of light following, her caress like melancholy, doubting her story the poetry of yesterday, fading like dandelion’s blowing in the wind remembering… what once told a story of hope, heartfelt words in rhythm, rhyming and still as the rose whose thorns protect the innocent, abiding on the stem, her petals revealing a tenderness that comes from each breathless tear, words are more precious than gold while the tears are like hasty blows falling on deaf ears, gentling the sea with silence will she see through the dim casting its shadow on the heart who knows He is here He is living in the edges of a soul, where life has been restored the ache is gone and grace is meant to form a hope, a hope that will come from the heart who knows He is love, He is light, He is alive… unending fire burns through the shadows, remember, the flow of His love glowing on the still, cool air silencing the distant prayers who are breathed by hearts who grieve, hearts who need yet time has proven that He is who He says He is… He is greater than time, more alive than the air I breath, more wonderful than the heart who sees past the darkness, through the murky sin that sees, in spite of the enemy He found me – He found me and I’ll never be lost in eternity – I’ll never be without the One who I see He came for me and He’s my destiny He is the free in me, and the faith that agrees… wherever I am, whatever I see there is a hope in me, I will always believe in the love that is free, the love that is KING – the SAVIOR the FRIEND who saved me from me! this JESUS, who is everything I will ever need!
