Throughout world history many rulers and nations, have used beheading for
it's victims:King Herod, used beheading to execute John the Baptist, Nero
Caesar be-headed, the Apostle Paul in Rome. 

The French First Republic France, Sept. 5, 1793- July 28, 1794 organized by
The Committee for Public Safety: Arrested, Accused, Imprisoned, Beheaded
it's King Louis XV1 and his  Queen Marie Antoinette, its nobility, any of its
descendants and political opponents. Because they (the poor downtrodden
people of France) were crushed under the red heals of if its ruling class 
(and the Holy Roman Cathletic Church) for 200 years! 

There is currently one ethnic and religious group; Muslim jihadists, who have 
been publicly beheading Christians.  And beheading is the form of execution
he will begin to instigate during Rev. 13:16.  He (the False prophet) causes all, 
both small and great, rich and poor to receive a mark on their right hand or their 
forehead.  

He (the False prophet) was granted power to give breath to the (AI) image of 
the beast (the son of perdition, indwelt by Satan--the Anti-christ) that the (AI) 
image of the beast should both speak and cause as many who would not
worship the image of the beast should be killed.

"And in the latter time of their kingdom (the ten kings Daniel 7:24), When the
transgressions have reached their fullness, A king shall arise (man of lawless
ness) Having fierce features, Who understands sinister schemes.  

"Then the king shall do according to his own will: he shall exalt and magnify
himself above every god, shall speak blasphemies against the God of Gods
and shall prosper till the wrath has been accomplished; for what has been
determined shall be done. "He shall neither regard the god of his fathers
(Allah) nor the desire of women, nor regard any god; for he shall exalt himself
above them all.  

But in their place he shall honor a god of fortresses; and a god Which his fathers
did not know he shall honor with gold and silver, with precious stones and pleasant things. "Thus he shall act against the strong fortresses with a foreign god, which
he shall acknowledge, and advance in glory; and he shall cause them to rule over
many; and divide the land for gain. Daniel 11:36-39. 

Although the Anti-christ could be born in Iraq as a Muslim: He'll establish his own
one world religion and one world government; The New World Order. He will also
honor the god of warfare. The False prophet is Jewish, probably from the tribe of
Dan.
