Poem
Do I ever stop feeling scared? Will decisions ever get easier? What happens when I am stuck in a moment and can’t get out, will I start to panic with the thought in my head that it will last forever? Will I ever start to feel safe? Less scared and angry, more happy. Does the weight on my shoulders finally get lighter and the darkness on my chest brighten up and let me breathe a little? When will the time come that I ever feel strong enough to stand up for myself; To reach for my dreams and accomplish them? Strong enough to let people in? When will it happen? …… These are questions in your head. Let me answer: You’ll always have fear just not as much or frequent as before, Decisions will always be hard, but there are people around you to help you make the choice; The moment you are in will last until it ends, and if the moment feels like it lasts, turn it around and cherish it for as long as you can before it slips through your fingers. You will be safe when you make it safe, you can make it safe by building yourself your own sanctuary where you can do anything you like. The way you feel inside is up to you; you choose if you feel scared or if you can be brave; you decide if you are angry or if you’re able to be calm; you choose if you will be happy, don’t wait for others to choose it for you. The weight on your shoulders will get lighter when you stop letting yourself take all the pressure without sharing it, The darkness on your chest will lighten when your soul decides that today, you can do it. You have always been able to breathe, you just forgot how The time when you are strongest is for you to decide; no matter what, save your strength for the moment you really need it, To reach your dreams, just look to the sky and believe that they are up there, and you will reach them one day. It’s easy to trust in people, but it’s even harder to trust in the right ones; you have to trust your best judgment and decide who will be the person to stand by your side through your lowest and highest. These and other things will happen, when they happen. You could rush things through and miss the good things that are happening, or let them come at their own pace. Enjoy the things in the now; not the when. You will be okay. Just trust in yourself. The voice inside you is saying to give up. Make it says something else. Make it say keep going.
