Poem
As the Autumn falls The jays sing A melody -a tale the old wives would sing While the sun fills the sky dripping With gold as honey to the brim I catch sight from my window Vines and creepyard twirling around the window sill As if they sing A song as sweet as demise or If it were the angels in guise A lone flower grew at a windowsill As if to protest against the time that stood still It's family lost with traces of pain The only being blessed with god's grace It's petals unfurled with dawn's kiss Symbolising how in everyone's lifetime would tick The petals thin curled from the sun’s lips Dancing in the hands of fate's eclipse The petals when once five A household huddled with warmth and life Screaming yelling throughout the night Those days filled with endless delight Then only four in bloom remained Darkness and somberness reigned Someone swooned and refused to wake The mother drunk in despair pain replaced all she cared couldn't bear and left before the fortnight flower wilted in the summer sphere The flower as a silent spectator- Witnessed the tragedy without a care And soon it showed only three tears as petals resembled my fears It turned two And my twins who were coming of age Scummbed from the blue mays, Where both the wretched fate and cursed destiny acted as companions in the same fray Blood and despair Pain unfazed and uncared Left scars that forever etched in my life's slate. A happy canvas tainted by sad fate I tore apart the room & the whole place Made a scene to escape fate's disgrace Yanked the vein where the bloody flower lay In a desperate attempt to flee from fate's game . One went down a road where no bridge could hold no river could float The poor man left alone In the autumn air with loss and the larks cry as if it were the last - Last of its kind to witness the goodbyes Now I see the lone petal guarding its last meal. To toy while enjoying the angst and fear, Encircling it in a tight spree Stalking and spectating seems to be its forte I'm a poor man with not much time to live It knows perching on the window sill. As the last petal falls I'll dissolve to the ground . From where life and stillness were born Life and stillness calls To be at home enshrined in a tomb Buried underneath yet not alone With nature's cry and winds sweet whisperings that will soon be dissolved into nothing Yet in that moment To be dead yet to get to live In the summers bliss Underneath yet unable to feel the heat Blessed with the peace finally at ease At the last petal falls I'll know . Time has been too patient with me I'll return to the sea and take it with me Maybe someday you'll see Me flying across the busy streets As a small petal in the breeze As the last petal falls I'll put a halt to this melody. My heart finally bared with all i could bleed The petal resembling both freedom from life and an ill fared defeat
