Poem
How are you, my friend? Is there rain in the village? Have you dried up like the Zhem River mirage? Garden water is released only in due time, dear, Did you plant a garden near the fence this year? The road has its troubles, restricted too, I have not reached the village for a long, it’s true. Did you see the doctor in the district? Did you receive the treatment they promised you? This year’s summer has been quite unfavorable, No watering holes, the grass has withered, the land is barren. I send some hard bread from a driver to you, Soak it in the water, give it to cattle, can you? We too haven’t seen rain for a while, Every day dust rises, and storms compile. It cleared a spring in Mughalzhar, as I hear, If water comes to your yard, the happiness is near. Springs won’t flow unless they’re cleared, Life revives only when drops are revered. If a lot of water comes without raising dust, The livestock is fattening up till autumn past. They say theft is rampant in our mountains, The crows and ravens are gloating in fountains. Well-known man has been killed in this plight, Is this the end of our trade in the night? What kind of man kills a true citizen, Why must they target their own kin? For my soul, and for the whole nation’s stain, The heavy loss comes like a cruel chain. Though they know they’ll be caught in the end, Why do thieves act like they can pretend? Because they bribe corrupt judges with ease, Easily escaping the law with such sleaze. That’s why sorrow springs from this land, They do as they please, with no reprimand. Not just thieves, but this society’s ill, Prosecutors, judges, and lawyers cause the spill. The fate of the people must weigh on us, We can’t sit idly, we must make a fuss. Cut off the thief’s hand, and those who take bribes, We must execute corrupt judges in public vibes! Only then will they learn their lesson well, Counting down their days in the darkened cell. Once they see the consequences of their crime, The scoundrels will retreat, one at a time!
