In the land of the rising sun, where the Igbo people thrive
A love story unfolded, between Ekemma and Nnanyereugo alive
A tale of passion, of hearts that beat as one
Between two lovers, beneath the moon's silver throne

Ekemma, a beauty to behold, with a heart so kind
Nnanyereugo, strong and brave, with a love so true and aligned
Their love was like a gentle breeze, that swept across the land
Bringing joy and happiness, to their families and friends so grand

The ubo drumbeat, echoed through the air
As Nnanyereugo approached Ekemma, with a lover's gentle care
He presented her with a gift, of a beautifully crafted necklace
A symbol of his love, and a promise to forever cherish and caress

The elders gathered, to witness their love so true
As Ekemma and Nnanyereugo, exchanged their vows anew
With a traditional wine, and a prayer so dear
Their love was sealed, and their hearts did clear

In the presence of their families, and friends so dear
Ekemma and Nnanyereugo, did pledge their love this year
With a bond so strong, and a love so true
Their hearts belong to each other, forever anew

Forever and always, our love will shine through
In the Igbo tradition, our love will stand tall
