Poem
Today I’d like to take a moment…our creators to acknowledge… for creating in us with a quest…a thirst…an appetite for knowledge. For instilling in us this notion that every day…around every turn… there are new discoveries to be made…new lessons to be learned. For showing us this knowledge doesn’t always come from other people…or books… that there are teachers all around us…everywhere we look. From the trees I’ve learned to stand tall…how to bend but not to break. I’ve learned the allure of silence…while standing by a lake. From the rabbits I’ve learned the delight of hopping… how to express myself without saying a word… I’ve dreamt of flying and learned the joy of singing while listening to the birds. From the sun and moon I’ve learned to enjoy the beginning and end of every day. The fog has taught me in a world of color…there is beauty in the gray. The clouds, the flowers, the rivers, the oceans the sky, the land…the air One of the miracles of life is no matter where I go… there are teachers everywhere. Every mountain…every insect are teachers with lessons large and small…. a myriad of lessons…I can’t possibly learn them all. Yes, our creators filled our world with teachers…hoping we would choose them… and they gave us tools for learning…with the hope that we would use them. So again…a nod to our creators for creating teachers around ever turn offering us multitude of lesson…knowing it’s up to us to learn.
