Poem
Under the bridge of night, two strangers met, in a silence that seemed to halt time, Their hearts grew light, like a breeze caressing a calm and sleeping sea, Their gazes met, and silence turned into a profound understanding, A silent pact, like an unseen thread binding two souls lost in the night. They sat in silence, without uttering words, yet their souls sang freely, Like birds intoning their song under a sky draped in twinkling stars, In the veil of darkness, beneath the trembling light of stars, they met, As if the scars of fate guided them in this dance of shadows and light. Their laughter echoed softly, secrets flowed like hidden rivers in the night, While the moon watched over them, friendship blossomed with each shared breath, They promised to remain friends until death gently closed their eyes, With whispered vows under the vast sky, bound by the wish to never be alone. But then passion ignited, a powerful affection, like a consuming fire, Whispers of love seemed not wrong, but merely a call of burning hearts, Each touch was electric, each look a magic defying reality, In their embrace, they did not see the tragedy lurking in time's shadow. But time is a ruthless thief, and fate can show its cruel, cold face, As moments passed, they played at dreaming, losing themselves in illusions, Strangers once more, they parted on that bridge which was their silent witness, Yet they still carry in their hearts the echo of love, a memory that will never fade.
