Poem
Time slips by as the wind whispers through the trees, Waving hands fly like the movement of the breeze And families pray for those they love, all because, Time gave hope, time restored, welcome home; Yet every blessing stems from dedication honed in time, While days with family take the love to better heights, Giving surety that God is on his throne And no stone is moved without the knowledge That we are home, watching time slide by, With hands lifted higher and voices praise; Can we walk together in harmonious peace? When the world is trying to steal a different piece? Lifting eyes to heaven, pleading for wars to cease, Time slips by, wind whispers through the eye As every word is heard above, seeking approval of God's love; And time slides past, winds blow so fast, trees fall, Like lives that are lost in humanity’s desolation call To self-destruct and ignore the pull to return home, While every creature screams in fear of losing This hope from heaven as time slips out of sight, Did you see the moment that heaven fell? Zion's gates closed for eternity, no repose available; Wake up this world, time is sliding fast, See the trees bend in weathered lead, pleading The world must see, God has the power to release Souls lost, at any cost, when time slipped by And the wind whispered through the trees; Can you see the truth unfold, as presidents, Prime ministers and kings, pronounce the rules That run against what was written, Genesis of Time, Every Word divine, and the world has blocked with black God's Word, no longer heard, time steals the heart; Wake up, shake up, there is no time to wait, This world has made its choice to turn away; And time will slip away as wind serrates the trees Bring all to end, as those who still believe Look to the skies and see, riding on the clouds, The Son of God, Son of Man, riding to Zion hill, And time will stand still, marking Creators will That every soul of his children shall rise, And trees will come alive in heavens breeze When time becomes the glory of eternal day; And in that hour, when Saviours power is seen again, Every eye will watch as heaven's gates reopen, And every knee shall bend in humble adoration As time recognised by everyman, begins in glorious radiance, Shining bright as noonday sun, life with God has now begun; Watch as many weep at what was lost, Share the joy of those who chose at great cost The life of Christ in darkened world, Now light has burst upon the retina of times eye, Seeing every soul recognise the truth that was taught through life, Knowing the Saviour was living all this time In hearts of those who daily prayed that time would arrive When Christ will come riding through the skies And time will show, he is seen by all. ©Steve Gregory 2025
