Poem
Fetch me a good winter shoes and turn on the evening news, Jog with me to the open square, I have an important message to share, I am going to prepare for the marathon but first I have to give you my hand. It is a race that I never thought that I could run, but destiny is loaded with a million guns. I have to run this race again for I have finally found my precious friend. I woke up this morning with nothing on my mind but I found the tears dripping from my eyes, I knew that I had not gotten over it but I have tried desperately to cover it, my heart was bleeding for the millions of people that made me sing, there was so much love inside and the outpouring of love made the universe cry, ‘it was frightening, yet revealing; it was sobering and comforting, but the things that we love sometimes vibrate with the heavens above. This mandate I have to fulfill for destiny wouldn’t have me keep still, it would haunt me for the rest of my life and it would not leave me alone until I fulfill this earthly sacrifice. I had to walk to the square to see if you were waiting for me there. I could feel your presence from a distance and I could spot you standing among the multitude in the corner. The gossip is true and the conspiracy theory is walking all over you in a brand new pair of winter shoes and my heart is chanting a special rhythm and the multitude is chiming in. I can hear the silent voices whispering in the breeze and the boisterous crowd shouting, “release!, release!” and in the middle of it a mother broke down and cried and her last wish was to bury her son that fell off the cliff before she died. The pounding weight around changed the tone and it made the universe frown and winter continued to move around. Everywhere is getting cold from my ankle straight up to my nose I don’t have enough clothes to cover my skin; I need layers upon layers to trap the warm air within, the palm of my hands is hard as ice, the sensation is gone and I am feeling numb. Fetch my winter shoes and gather the crowd to listen to the evening News.
