Poem

Hold on to hope, fate is unkind...
nobody can be too sure about
anything, not even tomorrow;
we live and die for a cause,
to keep that ideal alive in the joyful heart
we despair and cry until tears flow,
has anyone asked, " What's our purpose,
what makes life simple, not wild? "

If we can't answer this simple question
we haven't dreamed, we haven't loved;
look out of that window joy is all around:
it won't take a lot to reveal your realization,
because no dream is more beautiful than yours,
believe in yourself, believe in those daydreams!  

Nobody can be too sure when someone comes along
to thrill you, to spark your fantasy with smile and song;
love all you can, never be sad and show hopelessness:
a hand will caress you, two lips will kiss on moonlit nights!

Don't ask for too much, settle for something humble,
there lies happiness, there lies a realistic Paradise...
where two can walk hand in hand and never tremble:
nobody can be sure if it's really worth the sacrifice! 

Nobody can be too sure when all ends,
when we lose each other and friends;
will we remember how true we have been
through the days pf happiness and pain?
Nobody can be too sure if tomorrow
we'll be alive to see another rainbow!
