my dog is snoring a sound quite profound
in the still of the night he dreams with a frown
chasing cats or perhaps a large bone
with each little grunt i can't help but smile
for in his deep slumber his dreams run wild
life's simple pleasures in a furry surround

the world is at peace in this cozy surround
as my pup lets out snores that echo around
a symphony made of doughnuts and style
his paws twitch in rhythm like dancers in town
and just when i think he’s about to lose ground
he lets out a bark then resumes with a smile

oh the tales he can tell with that lovable smile
of ducks on the river of mud all around
with the sun on his back and the grass as his bed
there’s no greater joy than my snoring companion
whose dreams paint a picture both silly and wild
making our home the funniest playground

as i sit here chuckling my thoughts fly around
imagining adventures where squirrels wear crowns
he’s a king in his dream in a world safe and mild
while i sip my coffee and admire his style
he snores with such gusto it’s truly worthwhile
this quiet serenade from my pet so profound

so here’s to the moments and sounds that abound
to the joy that’s found in a dog’s gentle smile
though the world may be busy with duties piled high
i’d trade all the hustle for this peaceful surround
where my dog is snoring and laughter’s my crown
in the kingdom of cozy where love is unbound
