January 8 Faith in God Bible Meditations Based on Genesis 22-24

Key Verse – Genesis 22:8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

FAITH IN GOD WHO SURELY PROVIDES FOR US

God surely provides for us a habitation in His promised land 
How loving is He to guide us with His hand…
Here we are willing, by faith, to do His command
His help we ask as we lay ourselves upon His altar of sacrifice-demand.

God surely provides for us glorious heaven 
How merciful is He to grant to us heaven with His compassion so proven…
Here we are repentant, by faith, confessing our sins, as His children, forgiven
His help we beg as we offer ourselves, obedience-driven.

God surely provides for us good health and well-being’s protection 
How kind is He to assure us His presence and compassion…
Here we are prayerful, by faith, to ask for His counsel and discretion
His help we entreat as we yield ourselves for His purification-sanctification.

God surely provides for us hallelujah-caused blessings 
How wise is He to rule over us with His authority-reinforcings…
Here we are determined, by faith, to dwell around His sovereign fencings
His help we plead as we subject ourselves to Him despite worldly enticings.

God surely provides for us a His supply for the ministry 
How wonderful is He to draw us toward Him and His glory…
Here we are diligent, by faith, to strive toward courageous victory
His help we claim as we entrust ourselves in sharing His Gospel story.

God surely provides for us progress in our journey’s prosperity 
How gentle is He to care for us, leaving us not destitute of His pity…
Here we are worshipful, by faith, to praise Him, awed before His majesty
His help we seek as we give ourselves to following Him with sincerity.

God surely provides for us kindness to deal with others by His grace 
How timely is He to let us realize His transforming ways…
Here we are patient, by faith, to wait for answers to our supplication-rays
His help we yearn as we submit ourselves to His truth's embrace. Amen!
