Poem

2.	A white-bearded man came near me,
And said, "Come with me, my child."
"Innocent angel, untainted by sin,
I'll take you to paradise," he smiled.
I kept crying, tears streaming down,
Yet warmth radiated from his gentle frown.
Suddenly, I stopped my tears and asked,
"What is paradise, this task so vast?"
"Ah, child, you love riddles, I see,"
"Listen closely, and the truth will be free.
There, Zamzam springs flow, a green haven stands,
With skies, mountains, and lush meadowlands."
"There, no clouds will ever cover the sky,
And snowy peaks won't greet your eye.
No scorching heat nor freezing gales,
Paradise holds no storms or trails."
"From mountains, streams of pure water pour,
Swans and geese rest on lakeshores.
For sinless angels, arms open wide,
Paradise will accept you, no rules denied."
"Everything you need is there, worry not,
Let’s set out, my child, without a second thought."
"But wait," I said, "one last question to pose:
Will my mother await me where paradise glows?"
"Will there be someone waiting for me there?
My aunt, my brother, someone to care?"
"No," he replied, turning his face with a sigh,
"Then it's too early for me to say goodbye."
I saw the edge of paradise, a wondrous sight,
An Eden, Zamzam lakes, a pure delight.
But then—drip, drip—a touch on my face,
I opened my eyes to find my mother's embrace.
"My darling," she cried, her tears like pearls,
Falling softly as her heart unfurls.
I had just returned from paradise so divine,
And now my mother seemed like an angel of mine...
