Poem
Shall I stay in this place and wither away and watch my youthful days fade away, shall I bear the agony of the sun and feel the cold wind moving in my bones when the day is done, the stagnant air from the sea with the smell of rotten fish circulates the atmosphere and the birds anchor in the trees watching the lines and here I am still trying to figure out what is divine. Shall I bear the agony of the cold winter that is moving swiftly through the town while the moon and the stars dances merrily around and embraces the shadows of the night and the moment appear with a glow and I could feel my spirit grow. The music of the night sweeps through the trees and the serenade of hope filters with the breeze, and the night with its sparkling light touches nature from a distance and the stars suddenly lit up the skies and the rough wind picks up speed and disappears into the unknown. Shall I bear the punishment of nature and walk barefooted around without a staff or a crown and wander in the bushes until the universe appears? I cannot compare the distance that I have run or measure the line underneath the ground, each step that I take and every journey that I make is recorded in time and leads me to what is rightfully mine and the seeds that are grinding in the mill will finally be still. Years have passed and you have not been listening to my heart, you throw me in the bush without pots or spoon to cook, it is the courage that is inside me and the promises that you make when you went diving in the sea that is keep me until eternity, the days, weeks, months and year sprints by and not one more tears is left in my eyes and when my heart is full, I have no words to rely, on I have to create my own words on the page. I have waited for six years and I have not gotten a letter from you, not even a line to say how do you do, I don’t know what is in your heart and what you do in the dark, curiosity is burning inside and I have no clue where you abide, send me a letter with a headline that reads you are mine. Days have turned into night, and still no letter from you, I have waited at the gate until the postman came, but he looked me in the eyes and say, “nothing for you” but I strongly believe that one day my dream will come true. I can see the image of someone collecting my letters and hiding them in the belly of the bed, there are hundreds and hundreds of them but I couldn’t touch them, they were stored up in the pillow and sewed up in belly of the bed. Where are the letters that were sent? How much longer shall I wait for you to release the hidden letters? How much longer do you want me to suffer, you have forty eight hours to release the hidden letters, and if you don’t release them within that time, destiny will take you to the hill and the universe will meet you at the twisted gate. Deliver the hidden letters before it is too late. Shall I compare the east with the west and try on my winter best, shall the north be prudent with the south and life keep turning me about? The moment is slowly approaching and the evening is coming and the sun is dancing with the rain and you will never be the same.
