January 1 Faith in God Bible Meditations Based on Genesis 1-3 Key Verse – Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. FAITH IN GOD WHO CREATED EVERYTHING FOR US God created everything with His assuring goodness-delight As He moved upon formless void and darkness-night And provided day light along His wisdom-might Allowing us, by faith, to follow His rule so surely right. God created everything with His awesome abundance-bounty As He brought forth fruitfulness midst earth that’s empty And blessed the mornings by His presence-certainty Allowing us, by faith, to submit to His dominion’s authority. God created everything with His active multiplication-replenishment As He subdued futility by His kindness, bearing seed of development And filled the air with life-giving nutrients for health-improvement Allowing us, by faith, to experience blissful satisfaction-contentment. God created everything with His able work-sanctification As He caused growth to occur upon His holiness-instruction And watered the ground with His mist of purification Allowing us, by faith, to grow in His garden of knowledge and compassion. God created everything with His assertive freedom-fullness As He assured His help to meets our need for stewardship-wholeness And closed up fleshly gateways by His safekeeping graciousness Allowing us, by faith, to cleave to His truth against deceitfulness. God created everything with His amiable pleasantness-desire As He opened opportunities for service He does require And commanded the vanquishing of beguiling curses’ fire Allowing us, by faith, to triumph through His power until we retire. God created everything with His awakening revival-voice As He called for us to love by His standard’s poise And clothed us through His coats of mercy against hate’s choice Allowing us, by faith, to turn toward His way from carnality’s noise. Amen! January 1, 2025 10th place, "CHOOSE A 2025 POSTED POEM" Poetry Writing Contest Sponsored by Brian Strand; judged on 1/4/2025
