“Mistaken that I was this body-mind,
I succumbed to desire and fell to fear
but on choosing pathways loving and kind,
light of God in heart began to appear
and truth of my true essence became clear,
which made in God’s image, is living light,
gripping us in rapture of bliss delight.”

              I was faithful,
        went to a Catholic school with nuns;
     Oh, they were very mean,
        there was no kindness ever or caring.
  I admit that this turned me away from the church,
  and I have lived a thousand lives since I did that;
    but, I am back to believing,
  for one day God visited and shone his light on me !

              I was so sick,
         a long time in the hospital;
      Wandering halls one day,
        I saw a double door that said chapel,
  Inside was a cross on the wall, art and statues,
  bibles were scattered here and there so I took one;
    The bible opened to Isaiah 43.2,
  and what I read has changed my faith and how I live life !

              I felt God's light,
        it entered me and filled my soul;
      and since then it shines bright,
        I knew in that moment I would get better.
  And now there is a flame that burns within me,
  when sick he holds my hand giving me strength;
    when I am afraid God is close,
  I feel his light shining on me wherever I may go or do !
