We’re all broken. That’s how the light gets in… author unknown

When I couldn’t stop seeing him,
beyond the shadows, the trees, the wind
blowing away the silence, the still
blessing my spirit, my soul’s deepest dreams,
stirring my memories, my heart’s rhythm
with a feeling, both fiery and gentle,
like the colors of a flower
who aches to show the heart
what it means to scent life
with wonderful, warm and wise
revelations of God’s song, inviting…

When I felt like I was standing still,
even on those days, when hope was real
and I felt less lonely because I knew
he was in the world, a voice so true,
a trembling light, glowing
remembering, deciding, abiding
so that I could feel the music playing
its song of kindness, 
a song that rises as the light shines,
pouring out its wonder
across the mornings, soft twilights,
the hesitant joy from a heart who knows
life is less gray, because,
come what may,
love has found a way….

Oh, sweet blessings
sent to us from heaven.
Love is alive and it will surely survive,
still as the dew collected on the new
dawn, the sunlight reflecting
all the glory of God’s lovely Son,
the One who shall reveal to each soul
just what it means to hold the stars
by the strings of peace that comes
to those who simply believe,
as the stars fade,
there will be a semblance of grace
who will surely take their place,
silencing doubts with the sweetest embrace,
a love story written 
by those hearts who are smitten,
those pens who’re in rhythm
with the kiss that trembles
on the edges of a feeling
meant for two believers, two
who see the love that is written
by the hand who holds the genius
in every sunrise, every moon,
all the stars, come alive to assure
what might have once been
merely a dream,
has become something more,
its love in reality,
its love that will forever be…

a part of you, a part of me
the story that uncovers
the mystery of our hearts,
the secrets of our souls,
the soundless light who covers us
in a warmth that shines so bright,
makes everything alright,
glistens in the night,
preparing our spirits to decide
this song of love is from above,
and it sings of light that breathes
light that lives inside those who see
the hope that grows
in those who believe,
the love that shows
we’ll forever be blessed….

Forever is just a moment
When the spirit knows its purpose
When love takes away the burdens,
and sends light that will forever free,
light that lingers inside you and me!
