MY MEMORIES OF YOU. My memories of you would I cherish and never will I let go of all the times that we spent; For now that you're no longer with me, I value your priceless worth more than I did before. Though you're not by my side, yet, to all will I proclaim that you were an angel to me sent; And the thoughts of you in me will not die; for even the stars tell me about you the more. My memories of you will I never forget; for I've buried them beneath the crust of my soul, Which is the home of all my cogitations and emotions and in there shall you forever stay. You were the fire, I was the wind; but it happened that my force put out your fire in whole, But I'd preserve the moments when you burned and I blew before heartbreak had its way. My memories of you would I keep, I will paint them with the skies, so they will never fade, Neither would anything change and alter the fact that I'd always love and appreciate you. It's sad that you're not here; but to me, you're one of the most lovely that'd ever be made, And nothing would ever make me deny the truth of you having affection so pure and true. My memories of you would I cover with stars and hand them to Time to keep them green, For you really did appeal to me in everyway; by the things you did and the words you said. You're a blossoming tree in the garden of my mind, watered by my soul's spring so clean; For you're always in my ruminations when I awake and when in sleep I lay my heavy head. The memories of you shall I always take along with me: for I cannot forsake them behind; For dumping them is like forsaking my breath and how'd I do that and still continue to be? To forget you, I must leave this veil to the other realm where love is so impossible to find; Therefore, I will take the thoughts of you along; for in them, your fair face do I always see. My memories of you would I watch over, constantly ridding them of every dent and stain, I'd have put you over angels, but He covers that space: for your love was purer than wool. I never deserved you; and that's a thought that'd keep ringing in my head again and again; Hence, I immortalize you in my best thoughts though I had you once, but I played the fool.
