Written: December 05, 2024 for contest Sponsored by: Unseeking Seeker _________________________________ Line of inquiry: “we look for that light eternal that does not come and go the screen upon which life plays cognised in staid stillness slow” _______________________________ We seek sparkle in the darkest night, A blazing beacon is beyond sight. We duped ourselves into being led astray, whilst pursuing the eternal vortex ray. Here on life's stage, a fleeting, moronic play, A place of dreams, thanatopsis, and dismay. Behold, we stand in unwavering silence. We are all caught in the vortex of valence. Brobdingnagian force: a daunting fight, Roots of anathema claim their plight, Knuckles spin in phantasmagoric flight, Gibbous ashes, quenched fire height. The knuckle udder spins over stoutly. Motionless, as if arch dancing ghastly. Floating ash, formerly a maelstrom blaze. At last extinguished, a flickering haze. In katabatic abyss, a chilling fright, Synapse sparks, a vibrant bulwark might, Sepulchral hypocrisy, masked in white, We crave the truth, not sultry succubi plight. But amid the vehement, shining light, Lies are sepulchral hypocrisy darkest night. A shield of lycanthropy, or so it would seem, Hiding hypocrisy is a Mephistophelian scheme. Still, we care around truth and what is real. Over behemoth tribulations, muster how to feel. Though knuckles spin in endless flight, We'll cling to hope, a beacon in the night. The cyclopean force within us is strong, He will lead us forward, where we belong. And when gibbous ashes abode down, Quenching the flames of doubt frown. In obsidian depths, we'll find our voice, A vibrant cry—a heart's rejoicing choice. Skedaddle the synapse's radiant glow, We'll gasp the path, our journey to bestow. Sepulchral shadows will recede away, revealing vibrant colors of a brighter day. And the necropolis of misery will fade, allowing room for genuine love to be displayed. Thus let us cherish that light divine, Eternal, steadfast, forever mine. For in its radiance, we're made complete, Reflecting beauty in each other's beat. In flawless harmony, our hearts entwine, souls connected in love's sweet shrine. Together we'll weather life's ebb and flow, United by that light, as one we grow.
