Luke 1:41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: 42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.

In their wombs, they carried the love
That God Himself had sent down from above
In their hearts, they carried the hope
Brought to life by knowing they could cope
In their souls, they carried the faith
Begotten by the Son, the One who saith…

Mary, with her gentle and kind glow
Taught the world that love would grow
Elisabeth, who was filled with the Holy Ghost
Knew God’s Son would save to the uttermost
Both of these women were clearly blessed
What they felt just can’t be expressed!

In their wombs was hidden the wonder of wonders
Peace on earth, joy in the spirit, as the light thunders,
In their hearts were feelings so amazing
Reassuring the spirit would forever be praising
In their souls, they knew the beauty of His word
It is the moment love was born, and spirits were stirred…

Christ was born to save our souls from our sins,
Mary and Elisabeth knew this is when hope begins…
Christmas in the heart would bring us a second chance,
The music plays, singing grace, as spirits dance
Remembering to thank the God who resonates such peace,
The God who silences all doubt, as Jesus’ love will increase…

As Christmas joy reaches out to those who believe
There is a promise of love that will never leave.
As Christmas stirs the soul to let all the shadows go,
To reach out with faith and allow His love to grow.
As Christmas blesses the hearts and souls,
Remember – it is Jesus’ love who consoles!

As Christmas remembers what Mary and Elisabeth felt,
When they lifted their voices and, on their knees, knelt,
Praising the Father who has given us His greatest gift,
The gift of a Son, the One who would nurture and uplift,
As Christmas remembers the day Mary and Elisabeth met,
Will we celebrate this love that covered our sin debt?

Let go of all the worst, the fears and tears, the doubts
Cry out to the One who is love,.. as our spirit shouts…
Know that God is with us – He came to save our soul
And, when we celebrate Christmas, Him who makes us whole,
Listen to the song that Mary and Elisabeth could have wrote,
A song of quiet hope, love that is our sin nature’s antidote!
