He was a wandering wayfarer
with fragments and flotsam  
adrift amidst a misty marine expanse— 
a hopeless harbor hiding hopes.   
Waves acted as fists, crushing him,  
pulling him deeper into sorrowful arms.  

I reached with resolution,
my hands trembling slightly in the current,  
yearning to yield him, 
to lift his weary spirit, 
from the depths of cobalt misfortune  
the harsh shore
that cruel rogue   
whispered sweetly of surrender.  

Through tempest and rain,
I battled alongside him,  
lifting his head above the frothy waves,
as if my devotion could serve as a buoy.
A gentle gesture to guide him back   
but life’s burdens grew heavy,  
my spirit tethered to his pain,  
and my stamina started to fade.  

Before I bid it goodbye.
I stroked her tender lips.  
Salty streams swirled with my sobs  
as I shouted into the swirling shadows.
"Do you wish to die?" My heart breaks
as I resist the storm's pull.   

He shifted his gaze toward,
two twinkling torches, twirling in the turmoil. 
Softly, he stated, "Yes" 
It was a gesture of conciliation
a mirror reflecting the universe—  
In his act of surrender, I discovered myself.  
Lost on the bitter sea, 
Hope and pain floated as mementos, 
intertwined in the snare of the night.
