Poem
Betrayal crept in on silent feet, A shadow cloaked in kinship’s deceit. A dream once bright, now smeared in ash, A brother-in-law turned thief of cash. But it wasn't just a business he chose to steal; He tore apart bonds that should never unseal. Behind the mask of family ties, Lay cunning schemes and whispered lies. The weight of gold, the gleam of greed, The young man’s trust, the perfect seed. Planted in soil of hope naïve, It grew into pain no mind can relive. He watched his love, his sister's pain, A bed of betrayal again and again. Ex-girlfriends turned to his Judas kiss, A torment carved deeper than this abyss. In bottles of amber, he sought release, A drowning man chasing fleeting peace. Each sip a wall, each drink a chain, Locking away brilliance amidst the pain. The memories writhe, like fire untamed, Rage burns inside, his heart defamed. Every dollar stolen, every lie told, Forges the cage where his brilliance grows cold. He walks among shadows, a hollowed soul, A mind once bright, now dark as coal. Each step a weight, each thought a claw, Dragging him back to what he saw. If trust is the rope that binds us near, Betrayal's blade cuts sharp and clear. It severs the ties, it silences light, It twists the day into endless night. What becomes of a man betrayed so deep? Who locks his genius, lets anger seep? The brilliance lost is a cost untold, A story of scars, both bitter and bold. Let this tale strike where hearts may feel, The silent wounds that never heal. For betrayal isn’t just an act, It’s a shroud, a cage, a soul attacked.
