Poem
Sinking into the abyss of images, Slowly breaking through the silence, Grief splintered heart, Graying, swollen like a moment Who dreads the past, the way hope Dreads the fated portrayal of shadows, Blazing distant thunder through the spirit, Remembering the fears, the tears, the years…. Silently roaring, like a heavy doubt Layered in need, worried Compromised only by the stardust’s color Raging through the twilight, Embracing the soul who knows Soundless songs, graceful and glorious Like the melodies of forest, Trees pouring with quiet leaves, Rustling, soaring, dancing with their autumn scenes… Miracles and wonders, brilliant promises From those who know the love, Love melting every heart, Love, intimate and alive, Love, whispered and sighed, Realizing that even the night denies Just how beautiful this hope who has come, This moment, homespun, embracing Kissing away the doubts, the demons Who reach through the flames of hell’s panic…. It is time who clings to the surface of a dream, Raining down light, lingering with insight, Grace rising in the mists of a morning, Remembering what it means to love more than anything, To love so that even the moon and stars blame the seas Salty tears, lessons in belief, feeding on the echoes Prayers prayed for the souls who can see, Souls who just agree – love means we believe, Love means we’re forever free – because of love that came to bring… The Son of God, the One who saves The One who knows me better than I know myself The One who loves me even when I feel so much doubt The One who fills me with a hope that stills the dark The One who colors me in light that never dims, The One who came to assure me, with Him, I’ll forever live, With Him, I’ll know what it means to see… Beyond the shadows, the darkness, the needs, Into the love that brings unending peace, Love that is more than a word, a belief – love that is a someone… He is the Prince of Peace And, this Christmas, I need to sing His song… Love, love, love – Love for every heart Love that never leaves or leaves out, Love that fills the soul with music that surely shows He is the answer to each prayer, The entire reason for this joy so rare, The love that proves God will always care!
