Poem
Like glass catching light scatter across the sky each shard a silver of history a world once whole now dispersed into the quiet between afterthoughts Time drips at its edge splattering of seconds glistening like rain on cobblestones reflecting what I can’t recall. I feel the tremor of distant thunder Ripples of forgotten laughter. The air tastes of ions n static, chaos where the wild wind gathers swirls n dances, lost names echo at the corners of old letters curling, they twirl toward horizon shores. In the spaces between things still glow, burning slow of what could have been. They dissolve into smoke, the night folds a curtain is drawn too soon. Reaching out fingers to brush aside the ringlets? Hoping to catch whole fragments slipping through eyes of gold! Falling of stardust onto shadows Leaving only the hum... Of things left unsaid unknown not begun! Shards of sky-split mirrors each piece spilling across universes. Glittering at the edges of creation seams… I gather my fingers, brushing the dust of forgotten days. I cut my eyes on their word so sharp I bleed into infinity! The soft tissue of unsaid words a symphony of echoes a breath of all moments. In time, no one longer ‘stands splintered of broken glass in a wildfire. Carving scars in the air silent bones of dreams from yesterday. Colors bleed shadow deep hues. It seeps as the sun grows, ripening insane orange veins, pulsing, bleeding clouds. Into oceans full of ghosts to hold the horizon at bay. Catching reflections, never of my mine eyes flickering in candlelight amber bright, I wonder over lost lands a mosaic of everything I never chose to be… Time bends cracks underfoot as spiderwebs gather a history of something that never quite lingers a scent of rain… a history! On dry earth, the night splinters fall into jagged mouths full of souls baring all! Of a thousand scattered stars pierce my skin until... I am nothing but light shattered & whole!
