Religious leaders from around the world stood together as one.
It was truly a remarkable day.
They all were ready with the same questions…
for the different Gods to whom they pray.

Together they spoke directly to their God,
“Dear God!” They asked with their eyes closed…their voices soft and low,
“We come together before you because there’s some things we’d like to know.”

“Please!” They pleaded. “We’d like an answer…before it is too late.”
“If we were created by you to love…why is our world filled with so much hate?”

“Why is it so hard for us to see that we are all sisters and brothers?”
“Why do we spend so much time demeaning, hurting and killing one another?”

“Why does so much poverty, hunger and injustice surround us?”
“Why is there so much war?”
“After all our centuries upon this Earth….
this can’t be what you created us for!”

Hand-in-hand before their Gods they waited for an explanation…
hoping on that day they’d be given the key to their salvation.

In one voice their Gods answered,
“Our children…this is nothing new.”
“For all your centuries upon your Earth…
that’s exactly what we’ve been asking you?

“But the solutions you seek are not to be found up here with us.”
“The solutions are down there…with you.”
Then the Gods all asked this question:
“So…What are you going to do?”
