Poem

Tears are shed
blood drips
they mix, poured from living 
flesh and sweat 
traveling together, back to the source 
he wasn't known by many 
taking a nap in the back seat 
friend in total control 
a crash, carried him 
wings on high 
glass, metal, road 
he traveled from one sleep to
another 
we stand united 
a mob of living 
praying 
         mourning 
                     for the living dead 
I say living because he livees on 
for religious:
His soul has passed on, flying 
onto a place beyond the stars 
his memory continues on 
in all of us 
for the skeptic:
his body will live on 
cells, energy, will continue 
going to back to its poetic source 
he did us all a favor 
reminded about life 
we think so much about 
temporary, not permanent 
at any time, we can END
cross over that finish line 
hit that ball 
make the last touchdown 
sink that sub.
In the shower, crossing the 
street, or simply taking a 
nap in the back, as your friend 
drives you.
All these can bring us to a 
sudden, abrupt end 
bringing us back to the source.
