The dark, great deceiver to one's deceptiveness 
It lives, dies, kills expectations 
What was or is lingering in its depths 
In ourselves, fear of worthiness 
Realm of a spiritual being lost 
Or mythical mind of existence 
Can't hide from yourself, always hunted 
Smell of death rains the sky 
Screams to escape reality hidden in smoke 
Fear of not succeeding or living 
Abandon hope all ye who enters 

Through our sacrifice's faith finds survival 
Change brings forth new perspective 
We change everything to a world we accept 
Abandoned all we were, forsaken God 
Broken civilization to mankind's desire 
You follow soul or man's sinful ways 
What is it we blame God and not man 
Life, there are consequences to circumstances 
Temptation befall our choice to choose 
Do we serve purpose for our being 

We use to give thanks for things of life 
Changed heart, change soul, print laid forgotten 
Just a memory spoken as if yesterday 
We fight a battle not alone 
Darkness realm, good or evil what's choice 
To live a life of lies deceit 
Or truth of realistic past we pray 
Is what we believe what we see 
Kneel not before man you worship 
But be steadfast in your journey to be you
