predacious life
web of bones
as the autumn shade is to the blossom
beset in the pretense of summer
the universe will infallibly 
eclipse the deeper reason of men 
in the face of inequity
…predacious life 
  
It eats the road ahead  
where the fork warps between two moons
a death dream
east and west the same
a prayer for storm
sure as shadow
a thunder uninvited 
touches the grave before dawn
I feel it 
looming in the billows 
draining into light
it is a strange hand that has been dealt
…this night

life is the face of fury
a blistered mind
a kerf in the subconscious void  
a word without shape
trembling into deep departure
coal and bone black  
…the face of fury
braided into sun
and stars too numerous 
infinite auras bent into
the shape of beasts
greatbear and wolf 
waking the universe into fire 
deep heresy arise 
…the face of fury
yours, mine
twist into each other 
into the narrow
cold blue night
absolve into memory 
…the face of fury

It was never like this 
the dust 
the beating blackness
strewn into the providence of brittle twilight  
souls in calculus flux 
construed
by the derivation of time 
smote and swag 
thunder hitting again
as we ride through 
the thin winter sun
void in pale limbo   
…it was never like this 
driven into the glaze 
starving each blood worn
mingle and split 
in the cold 
and shudder through the stillness
and tangled     
wounding world 
wasp mind
swarm into black
where the stillness sets therein

…lift us into soundless sky 
from ourselves 
to breathe the silence together
vis inertiae
no wind
matter resisted 
strewn through the emptiness 
the color of blood 
our souls afire 
…above us
