We have got to make disciples. Fun nights and pizza nights are not going to sustain us. – Francis Chan Breaking through, to a heart who needs to see, Beyond the beauty, to the center of God’s grace. Breaking through, for the One who hung on a tree, Believing, in my soul, there are tears I must face. Breaking through, to the story of His gentle light, Breathing hope over my doubts, coloring me ecstatic. Breaking through, to the Savior who makes it all right. Bringing faith to those who see He’s beyond charismatic. Wisdom comes, to the one who abides in His love, Whispering sincerity to everyone He draws to believe. Wisdom works like the flight of each precious dove, Welcoming peace stirred by wonders we can’t conceive. Wisdom invites us all to reach past our worst sins, With hearts who know He is the way, the truth, the life, Wisdom that reveals and restores, where faith truly begins, Warming the spirit with praise that relieves all strife. Stillness echoes on the melodies that sing His praises, Silencing doubts with a tune of gladness, grace and glory. Stillness rises in the heart who can’t imagine how He amazes, Swimming through the seasons with that old, old story. Stillness blesses the heart who feels Him with them, Soothing the nights, the fears, tears and years of shadows. Stillness listens to the voice of a Creator who won’t condemn, Surviving the lonely with a lasting serenity wherever God goes. While I don’t know how it feels to finally pass away, I know that His love will sustain me, keep me unafraid. While I don’t know how to live my purpose, I pray I know that He’ll be with me, with love that will never fade. While I don’t know the way to offer Him all I should, I know He’s my Father and with Him, I’ll find true love. While I don’t know how His kindness for us withstood, I know that He’s saved me so someday I’ll live up above. If you listen, you will hear Him in the wind. If you listen, you can feel Him in your tears. If you listen, you’ll know what it is to rescind… If you listen, you’ll be grateful for the years, If you listen, you will praise Him with all your soul, If you listen, you’ll keep praying forevermore, If you listen, to the word of God, who makes us whole, If you listen, you’ll meet the One that we all adore! Just be still, friend – death is not the end When we meet Him, real life will just begin!
