On first glance
We ...
Meaning our consciousness 
In its unconscious form
Knows only duality
Separateness 
Ego
This knowing
Of duality
Is the truth
For unevolved consciousness 
For, on the surface
That is what
Is cognised
By it 

When dormant consciousness 
Chooses to explore the internal
Voluntarily 
After self realising
After fully engaging in duality
In the domain external
Which is natural
Since senses are outwards
And so self-realising
Recognising
Accepting
Fully
The futility
Of finding enduring happiness
In the duality
Which is all
That the ego offers
It voluntarily shifts attention 
Inwards
By employing
Free will

The method
Is simple
Evident
Clear
Requiring elimination
Shifting of attention
From all that is externalised
Meaning thereby 
Attachments
Its fears & desires
Self serving thought
It’s corresponding emotions
And actions
Which was the illusionary all
Which is why
The attention shift
By unawakened consciousness 
Needs to be
Voluntary 
To be enduring 

And so
There being no way
No designated path
Since each consciousness 
Has had different experiences
Stored in memory
Recalled often
Forming patterns
Grooves of habit
Addictive
And desires having momentum
Gained over time
Of Frankenstein proportions 
Yet
The way is simple
And to be walked alone
With divine assistance 
Not by doing 
But in non-doing
Simply erasing
Negativity 

The toxins reduced
Attention to ego reduced
What remains ...
Let us call it
For the sake of convenience 
And also logically
Since the self as we knew it 
Is not, since ego is not
What remains is ...
Non-self
A non-doer
Internalised
Although what is internal
Eternal
Is as yet unknown
To consciousness 
Now more attentive to 
Non-self

And so
Non-self
Being silence
Stillness 
Just is
Attentive without effort
Focused without strain
Since there is no doer
Who may apply
Effort or feel strain
In these unchartered waters
If patience holds true
Having voluntarily chosen
To explore the internal
Then the voids within fill
With divine energy
Automatically 
Drawn in by the magnetism
Which always was
But now active
By virtue of negativity erased
The dirt removed
From consciousness 

Ecstatic & aglow
One with the flow
Consciousness ascends
But then again descends
When ego
Reels it back in
And in this way
The pendulum swings
Left to right
Right to left
Slowly but surely
Oscillations slowing
Centring
In time 

Onwards
Or rather, deeper within
The divine love attribute 
Is embraced
Imbibed
Assimilated 
Then
In timeless time
Duality converges
Into singularity 
Oneness
Which we see
Which we become
Which we always were
In timeless time 

This is the journey 
From duality
To non-duality 
For the dormant consciousness 
Now conscious, self-aware
Having seen
Cognised
Known
Oneness
Non-duality
In stillness
