Poem
Then through the mist, the Sun was set ablaze and all beneath its realm fell to their knees. ‘Twas but a fire that filled the coming days as mortal ashes wafted through the breeze. Her wreckage wailed in bellowing ascent then slowly disappear amongst the clouds. The blackened hulls began their dark descent to rest in peace beneath their tidal shrouds. The souls of those that once drew mortal breath were born without the cognizance of bane, ‘tis despot greed that fuels self-serving death thus, leaving only ashes of disdain. Their Nippon Sun once rose into the skies and when it fell, no longer could it rise. And when it fell, no longer could it rise as conquest faltered in Pacific’s realm. Your rising Sun recedes in slow demise as escalating forces overwhelm. Your risk denied, has fueled the confidence of paradise that once was fast asleep. When Freedom calls to rise in her defense all vow an oath, ‘tis vengeance they shall reap. But promises can swiftly fade away when war unveils the trammel deep inside, and all ensnared within can only pray for war cares not who dies on either side. Though apathy may set the world on fire, ‘tis arrogance that seeks a despot spire. ‘Tis arrogance that seeks a despot spire through dominance consumed with vain conceit. ‘Tis but the beast that sets the world afire when apathy lets history repeat. They see the presage warnings of reprise and vestal omens common sense would heed. They know this path shall lead to sure demise and understand the consequence of deed. But through the ages, autocrats ignore the auguries of how their days will end. They rob the graves of demagogues before, exhuming madness o’er and o’er again. Our realms are built upon an alter pyre, as gods go forth to set the world afire. As gods go forth to set the world a fire then build their strength consuming what remains., From flames to ash, they elevate their spire to be the latest gods of their domains. In terror’s name they rise above the clouds then spill their vile like deities will do. And, all that bade beneath their darkened shrouds shall suffer from the actions of the few. But dominance is but a fleeting quest when power is achieved through fear and dread, for such ascension beckons to divest such slithering by severing the head. The east and west surmised the giant’s girth when all the stars from heaven fell to earth, When all the stars from heaven fell to earth, the rising Sun set fire to the sky. A wounded foe has risen from the dearth with retribution pending in reply. Though seas were calm, all tethered to the swells as frothing wakes unveil a racing tide. The rising Sun would peak at morning bells and once exposed no longer could it hide. As clouds of rage suppressed its lethal rays. It darkened any hope of compromise. Then through the mist, the Sun was set ablaze and when it fell, no longer could it rise. ‘Tis arrogance that seeks a despot spire, as gods go forth to set the world afire.
