Poem
Working through emotions can be complicated. The important thing is that we give ourselves space and time; and that we try to be compassionate to ourselves and others. No matter what they've done to us, we can raise the vibration and walk in Light and Love, even if we are struggling with every step! Charity begins at home 04/09/2024 You say I can speak to you anytime But we both know that's a lie It's important that I know my place Because, you know... you have a life! I have to fit in, you see Like a pretzel in a bag Turning myself inside out Being smothered by your bad All the hypocritical things That you say and do Hey, you think your kid's a preacher So, by virtuous association, so are you! How about we open up your Bible And turn to the Godly guidance Charity* begins at home, it emphasizes Perhaps you couldn't understand the irony When I was stuck in Hell And burning for my good deeds You stood on the sidelines Burning marshmallows for Peace You didn't bother to check on me Assumed God's Grace would see me through You wondered why I fell silent But was to chicken to know the Truth Instead you did that thing That thoughtless people do When they act like everything is fine Only seeing what they want to And I, being a Chosen One Follow the Light and the Love Having to set a leadership example Sent by God's Mercy above I have compassion for your weaknesses After all, you're just a man I forgive you for all your trespasses As I am forgiven through Heaven's plans I don't want to talk to you We are strangers, not a family team I choose Heaven's counsel instead Surrounded by God's Angelic beams You live your life as you will May your heart reflect your Truth I will treat you well, as I do all humans Knowing it's for the Highest Good We all have our own paths to walk We all have our crosses to bear Maybe one day we'll meet in Heaven And understand the lessons that we shared Every Soul is ultimately connected We're all here to do our best May Love and Light guide us both To help pass all Heaven's tests © Michelle Morris, 2024 * Google AI: The Bible doesn't contain the exact phrase "charity begins at home," but it does emphasize the importance of helping those closest to us. For example, the Bible says, "Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever".
