I woke up this morning, the clouds all grey
No birds were singing, no music played 
"Up in flames" the alarm bell rings
Another day of surviving begins

Up bright and early, heart scan today
What happens next is all up to fate
Coffee drank, I'm ready let's go
This journey scares me deep in my soul 

Scars from the past in body and mind
The strength within me I need to find
My pillow wet from last nights tears
My dreams plagued with all my fears 

I'm in the waiting room, being calm as a front
I know this is something I have to confront 
I can't get past anger for the lies that were told
She doesn't see it was my dreams she sold

5 minutes to go, I just want to run
In 30 minutes I'll know what is to come
Nobody here sees my fear
3 minutes to go, it's getting near 

In 1 hour I'll be back at home
A lot less things will be unknown 
"I still burn for you" my alarm says it's time
Who knows what their going to find

A lie was told, my future was sold
Deep breath it's time, my name just called 
In I go to the deep unknown 
It's my life you stole, but it's not yours to own

The journey begins..the future unknown.

They've just called my name, it is time
My life is NO longer hers to define
