Poem
I stand here today Watching the struggles of yesterday The never ending trauma seen In a very deep ravine From a baby it’s clear to see She had been tortured to a degree The stories of mass abuse Should of made her a recluse A child abused over grief All she needed was love and relief A mother happy to abandon Only bothered about expansion A new man for all to see Forever he will disagree A cold man so selfish Turned her mother devilish Her mother watched her suffer While only loving another A mother who tried to hide her away Too only accommodate his dismay A step dad with a big ego Made her out to be so low A man permitted to violently attack Until her body was blue and black Always told to respect him Meanwhile he would heir her chin A mother who would take his side Never did love or provide They had no remorse And instead decided to reinforce That she was always wrong And that she does not belong She suffered greatly with mental health They targeted her with slime and stealth Manipulation so cruel and intimidating Only aim is incapacitating They ground her mind down To be the loneliest in town A mother trying to eliminate existence Only wanting her incoherence A mother so twisted and cruel All the time insisting she was the fool A mother full of disdain Is the only one who fills her with pain She shackled her early years And filled her full of fears A narcissistic mother is never done As she intentionally eliminates all the fun A girl so innocent Against all the odds, turns out magnificent A girl punished unduly Sees life has treated her unfairly As her expedition through life Has been full of strife As she fights to regain control Her mother continued to rot her soul The past looks like a shambles As her mother makes up lies and scandals The past burns deeply inside her With more clarity, no lure As the anger rages through The only forward is to renew As the shackles eventually break Knowing that it was not her mistake There is a way past the storm And she no longer has to conform Only now does she realise What it is to be alive A narcissist and her man Were their only plan She will leave them in the cold Where their black hearts can be sold While she lives without fear The shackles will slowly disappear Her heart so kind and true That was once dark and blue The shackles are gone……..
