Poem
Is this what it feels like to be broken hearted Emptiness in your heart Your mind unable to slow down Coldness consumes your body Now I'm just an empty nobody Lies have always ruined my life One after the other they caused me strife But above them all I overcame But now I will never ever be the same The doctor is certain I will have an early death My heart is twisted in a wrench She played the game that got us here But where is she now to help me see clear She stopped talking to me in 2019, all because I found my father I moved away and started afresh My mother however got her wish Why she doesn't love me, I do not know Why does she hate me is another unknown I love her unconditionally Even if all she's ever done is love me selfishly This type of heart ache is more than I can bear Please mum tell me you still love me fair Please mum tell me this will be alright Please mum tell me you'll be there for me tonight My days on earth may be numbered All because I share the genes of my father Its not my fault and can't be changed Oh I wish I had seen my mum again She's still alive; I must add But she chose the lie, where as I chose whats right I miss my mum everyday But the pain she's caused is withering me away She told a lie many years ago For what reason ? Who now knows? She chose the side of hers to believe And I chose the side of "let's just see?" A lie so small has ruined my life A lie so small has shortened my life No more kids of my own on the horizon now I'll be dead before that's all sorted out Heartbreak comes in many forms But this one is the hardest of all Because this heartache comes from somewhere so dark This Heartbreak comes from my mother's heart. Let it be known and let it be true I will always love and look up to you But this little lie that started small Has continued to destroyed my world Can I forgive you? I don't know Will you accept responsibility? Only you know If only one thing comes from today Let it be that lies do not belong in families And if a lie should be told Hold it close to your heart like gold Think of this story of a mother and daughter And Don't let the lie throw your daughter out to slaughter By a broken hearted women xxx
