Walking in darkness, she felt alone
	Without a purpose, without a home.
Lost in the shadows, hope mostly gone,	
		Haunted by the twilight, the steal grey gloom
	Suffering, silent, in sighs she could hear
The roaring thunder, the rain so fierce…

While beside her, a voice spoke clear
	Listen, my lady, listen – He is near
		Resting in the spirit, always sincere
Reflecting all the wonder, the joy, gentle
		Soothing away the doubts, the dread, the despair
			Reassuring the spirit that He is always here,
	Always speaking light into the life of those who know Him…

As the light of life, the joy inside,
	The meaning behind every prayer, every smile,
		Every beautiful thing that comes to the mind,
	Every kindness, every hope, every faith that lets you imagine
		What it means to believe, to trust, to see through
The darkest clouds, the haze, the mist…

Into the blessings of His light, His perfect, His miracles
	The hues of lasting grace, the wonder that never fades,
		The music of a heart who can hear through the suspicions,
	Into the still, clear joy that exists when He is with me,
		Restoring, guiding, rescuing…

Saving my heart and soul
	From the shadows that can become
		Overwhelming, eclipsing the serenity
	So the light of life hesitates on the seas,
Trailed by silhouettes of the past,
	Troubled by the ghostly hauntings
		Of sadness, mourning and defeat…

The light of life, though silent and free,
	Hears the heart’s whispers and sighs,
		Comforting like only His spirit might,
	Uplifting, calming, encouraging
So that even the shadows of doubt….
	Know that love will make a way out of the clouds…

The light of life glistens like the stars at night,
	Reflecting the music inside the soul,
		Grace that never lets doubt know…
Where the spirit gives breath… where He is, there is faith
	That believes, accepts, never neglects
The wonder of love that was proved forevermore…

When He went to the cross,
	Destroyed every fear, despite the tears…
		Gave us all the hope that remembers,
	When He defeated death and hell,
Coming back to life, so that we could all see…
	He is the love that abides eternally – He is 
The light of life, the faith that agrees…

Wherever Jesus is… 
	That is where I hope to be
Because Jesus is more than a Prince…
	He is the King who redeems hearts and saves souls,
		So that, when we leave the earth in the past,
			We’ll know this light of life…
Throughout eternity… my heart and soul yearn for Him
	And someday, when death comes for me,
		I know that the light of life, who burns in me…

Will abide, forever and always…
	Assuring me that He has made a way,
So that all I need to do is believe – and I’ll be saved…
		Forever abiding in the grace
			That Jesus came to provide
When He came to show us the meaning of life, the light
	That flows from those who know He is – not only life…

He is love that never perishes!
