Untold Truths 


The truth is, I always felt this pull.
The truth is, I tried to play it cool.
The truth is, I told myself this enormous lie.
The truth is, I would go home and ask God why.
The truth is, the stories that played made me stay.
It made me wonder how I could get in my way.

The truth is, I always dreamed big.
The truth is, it was a struggle, and it kept me bugging.
The truth is, I would fantasize and lay out my goals.
The truth is, they were too lofty, and I felt dead and cold.
The truth is, I have been out here living a masked life.
The truth is, many turned their back on me, and I was a trapped wife.
The truth is the stories that played made me stay.
It made me say such low vibrational behaviors were how I needed to be.

The truth is, I'm a sucker for the romantic love story
The truth is, I never had such a life laid before me.
The truth is, as much I tried, I still fell short
The truth is, I get so flustered, even shy when I'm near your presence. 
The truth is, your appearance was transience, but our connection has permanence. 

The truth is, something broke in me when I awoke to your movements
The truth is, it flipped my world inside down. We have separate journeys, worlds apart.
The truth is, you have inspired me and lit a fire in me that elevated me.
