My husband and I both have been 
president's vice president's junior 
vice president including chaplin 
our life then was very busy full 
of volunteer working veterans 
helping veterans supporting local 
law enforcement and Rotc cadets 
Central Florida AEROSPACE ACADEMY 

Sun n Fun volunteering florida special 
Olympics was the greatest gift for us 
both being we both suffered traumatic 
brain injury these were my peers the 
excitement of placing the ribbons 
around the necks of those competing 
rather on crutches or in wheel chair 
competing way more challenging 

making everyone who competes 
a winner afterwards we served 
meals while the knights of Columbus 
marched on veterans played taps 
in memory of veterans who lost their 
battles we also sent boxes packages 
to troops deployed oversees and honored 
goldstar mothers we take part in creating 

memorial parks awesome achievements 
was the Veterans park of Tampa bay 
exhibits from Ww1 WW11 Korean Vietnam 
awesome Afghan Wall including our 
own Purple Heart monument we get 
to hear stories of other veterans and 
their families we know we're not alone
although we celebrate we also mourn 

the loss of fellow lifetime members 
including judges and thier families 
this year is trying because we lost 
a lot of great men leaving wives 
who continues the tradition giving 
awards to cadets sending boxes 
to troops supporting goldstar 
mothers helping veterans with 

homelessness housing sometimes 
simply holding someone's hand 
throughout trying times of loss 
the many ways of giving back 
we actually made benches from 
bottle caps we clean debris off 
the graves bricks and lay wreaths 
looking over all the boots on the 

ground the white tombstones 
some has names some empty 
remains never identified my family 
has endured stress illness over the 
past years however we are always 
with our fellow members praying 
for thier families therefore this 
military order of the purple heart 

day ways heavily this year my grandfather 
served in Rome WWll my uncles Vietnam 
my stepfather Korean my husband 
is a purple heart recipient for his 
bravery being injured saving lives in Vietnam 
this year I sent a box of small things to my 
granddaughter who just arrived in Isreal 
like all military families we embrace all who 

serve and who are still serving while 
praying for thier safe return none of us 
still don't want to get that knock two troops 
standing thier remembering our loved one 
HONOR all those who serve pray for them 
and thier families God bless the Military 
order of the purple heart and God bless 
the United States of America

giving of yourself volunteering is the 
greatest gifts I'm truly blessed
