A HUMAN RIGHT SERMON (Being A Rhythmic Epic to all Freeborns) By Jamiu Akolade Adeyemi (BL., LL. B., LL.M) PROLOGUE: The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning. - Mitch Album May I tell a story of how The Devil shall die May I talk of Pharaoh How he bade earth goodbye May I talk of angels, their defining grace, Or of humans, God's judgement we shall face, May I talk of the dreadful deeds of every race Their ways, when these chameleon into a heaven's case Again shall I talk of the death of the world And the rust of time, life and the gods Shall the hidden truths not grace the mammoth light? Times these all beings are gone like the night? Tell human conscience, it daily cowers, Under the rain of lies, it seamlessly showers, Teach the truth of the need to be blunt Warn hypocrites against their cunning stunts, Inform asset, it is of dusts, Nay! Ask humans why they daily lust, It's our purpose to point our flaws, Condemn power against our own law(s) Before heavens fall and the trumpet roars It's our job to make justice soar It's our dawn to please our God! It's our turn to free our world! EPILOGUE: What matters in the end of time is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is the difference we have made to the lives of others that determines the significance of the life we led. ~ Nelson Mandela © JAMIU AKOLADE ADEYEMI (2024): EXTRACTED FROM HIS MANUSCRIPT TITLED, "THE REIGN OF FREEDOM".
