Many pastors criticize me for taking the Gospel so seriously. But do they really think that on Judgment Day, Christ will chastise me, saying, 'Leonard, you took Me too seriously'? - Leonard Ravenhill (June 18, 1907 – November 27, 1994) His words, they silence the doubt inside His grace, it whispers humility – not pride His love, compares my faith to His light His song, it’s a psalm born of joy so bright While the winds sing their dreams, and The mourning smiles blessings, Caressing my spirit with melodies of hope, I see beyond the skies, to the beauty of a time When I can enter His presence, Forever together, with the One who arose, The One who always knows – who I am inside, Because He sees beyond the frame, To the heart, the soul, the spirit’s verity, Where all hope remains, where we’re never the same Because of Christ – He is to blame, For destroying the darkest sins, ending Pain, sorrow, fears – healing, saving, redeeming, Reminding me that, through Him, I’ll know love that never ends, love that abides within… He is love and His song trembles, gentles, Contents and consoles, wipes away heartbreak, Leaves the feelings glowing with hope, Leaves the heart assured by His word, Leaves the soul knowing it has been heard. He is love and His song is one of grace and joy, His kindness is beyond remarkable – it is glorious, Incredible and marvelous, Surprising the one who remembers – This is the spirit who can convict and convince, He is the One who can forgive and free, He is the Maker of all that is, all that will ever be, He is the light that shines throughout eternity. Because He holds my heart in His palm, I can truly breath the light that flows contentedly, Swollen with love, serenity, colors of hope, Promising the wind, the sea, the autumn tree That forever is wiser than time, Greater than the light that never subsides, The grace that doesn’t even need to try – It is alive, like the heart who prays for life, The soul whose love decides, He is the reason my heart will always smile. He is the light that reflects what is right. He is the wonder that frees me from doubt. He is the love that never burns out. Because Jesus gave me hope, I’ll never be without A song, a psalm, a prayer from my soul, Praise meant to bring Him unending adoration. Praise meant to please Him with every affection. Praise that sees Him as my heart’s greatest blessing. Thank You, Lord, for the light that follows truth, The joy that abides in You, the beautiful that knows When all is said and done, You’re the courage That keeps me hanging on, moving forward, assured That, because You live, the worst storm is stilled, Because of You, my soul will live forever accepted By the One who created me, chose me, saved me So that I know the miracle of grace that lasts, Silencing all my doubts, so that I know lasting grace!
