Poem
Looking through the window of my soul, I wonder about the shadow Cast upon the world by the light within me, hidden under veils, Feeling the obstacle I’ve placed in the path of my inner brilliance, Casting shadows over everything I touch. It’s not a flaw Of the eye but of the spirit, a deep crack in my essence, A blur transmitted, disturbing scenes and robbing colors Of their brilliance. I’ve grown accustomed to the dull veil I bring, So much that it now feels like the natural state of things. Even water pierced by sunlight has a pale glow, No bright shards to ricochet And be caught by eyes that must hide Behind a narrowed gaze; I can receive My reflections directly. There are moments when I feel an internal tightening, And something within me stretches, tears the fine seam, Letting the light pour forth and capture a patch of life In a dazzling beam, too bright to be held or kept, But for the quiet it leaves On a page or lingering a while on the horizons Of a dream. In the mystical twilight of my thoughts, shadows and light Weave a delicate ballet, each movement a whisper Of ancient secrets and unseen realms, The spirit dancing between the spheres of dusk and dawn. I imagine that one day the inner light might fly free, Washing every dark corner with liquid gold, Bringing life to every shadow with a burst of vibrant colors. But I remain caught in the echoes of a soul, Enveloped by the shadows that define me, A silent waltz of light and darkness, An eternal war, unknown and yet familiar. In the flow of my consciousness, ancient paintings, Metaphors delicately woven into the fabric of my thoughts, I search for the lost light, hidden under layers of Gentle melancholy, an endless quest, Hoping that one day, a path will open For the light to break through all shadows, And to merge with the landscapes of a dream, Fulfilling the promise of a complete soul.
