Poem
When He lit up the world, He knew His light would overcome The worst fears, the darkest nights. When He silenced the thunder’s roar, He knew His voice would calm the seas, the winds No storm could possibly spoil what He shaped With His gentle hand, His mercy and grace. When He painted the stars, the seas, the sun, He knew His wonders had only just begun, While the hearts He designed were filled with hope, He knew that every dream was stirred by love, Every joy inspired by the splendor beyond the setting sun. When He revealed the music that accompanies His song, A song filled with serenity, sincerity, soothing A song played by angels with their imposing harps, A song compiled by the beauty that surrounds the soul, The beauty of a love that just grows and grows... then, came hope! When He filled our hearts with His guidance, He taught us that love was the source of our wealth, Wealth beyond what gold or silver could imagine, Powerful and fuller than any luxury, Wealth that comes to those who hear His word… When He sent His only Son, He knew We’d never know the meaning of His gift, Until we’d seen beyond the sin and strife, To the greatest love that has ever been, To God’s ultimate sacrifice… Love that burned brighter than the morning sun, Love that came to us at God’s expense, Love that taught us the meaning of forgiveness. Love that restores, repairs and rebuilds. Love that is best understood by the soul who hears Him… When the heart is convicted of sin, and given the chance To begin again… born again, The best life found is the life that is led By His Son, Jesus, the King who offers sweet forgiveness To souls He saves by grace, through faith – just believe Him!
