If our LORD, God were to ask anyone else these two questions today? "Whom shall I send? "Who will go for us?" Like the prophet Isaiah, "Here I am. Send me!"How would anyone of you chose to respond to Isaiah 6:8? The Birth of Samuel 1 Samuel 1:17-20 conclusion Eli answered,"Go in peace, and may the LORD God of Israel grant you what you have asked of him." She said,"May your servant find favor in your eyes." Then she went her way and ate something, and her face was no longer downcast. Early the next morning they arose and went back to their home at Ramah. Elkanah lay with Hannah his wife, and the LORD remembered her. So in the course of time Hannah conceived and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel," Because I asked the LORD for him." Hannah Dedicates Samuel, 1 Samuel 1:21-23 (part one) When the man Elkanah went up with all of his family to offer annual sacrifice to the LORD and to fulfill his vow, Hannah did not go. She said to her husband," After the boy is weaned, I will take him and present him before the LORD, and he will live there always." "Do what seems best for you."Elkanah her husband told her."Stay here until you have weaned him; only may the LORD make good his word." So the woman stayed at home and nursed her son until she had weaned him. Moses and the Burning Bush Exodus 3:20-21 conclusion. So I will stretch out my hand and strike the Egyptians with all of the wonders that I have performed against them. After that, he will let you go. And I will make the Egyptians favorably disposed towards this people, so that when you leave you will not go empty-handed. Every woman is to ask her neighbor and any woman living in her house for articles of silver and gold for clothing, which you will put on your sons and daughters. And so you will plunder the Egyptians. Exodus 4:13-17 God sends Aaron to Moses But Moses said,"O LORD, please send someone else to do it." Then the LORD's anger burned against Moses, and he said," What about your brother, Aaron the Levite? I know he can speak well. He is already on his way to meet you, and his heart will be glad when he sees you. You shall speak to him and put words in his mouth; I will help the both of you to speak and will teach you what to do. He shall speak to the people for you, and it will be as if it were your mouth and as if you were God to him. But take this staff in your hand so that you can perform miraculous signs with it."
