Then I heard the voice of the LORD saying,"Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said," Here I am. Send me!" He said,"Go and tell this people: '"Be ever hearing, but never understanding, being ever seeing, but never perceiving.." Isaiah 6:8-9 The Fall of Jericho (part one) Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went up to him and asked," Are you for us or for our enemies?" Joshua 5:14 "Neither,'he replied,"but as commander of the army of the LORD I have now come."Then Joshua fell face down to the ground in reverence, and asked him, "What message does the LORD have for his servant?" Joshua 5:14 "The commander of the LORD's army replied,"Take off you scandals for the place where you are standing is holy." And Joshua did so. Joshua 5:15 Now Jericho was tightly shut up because of the Israelite's. No one went out and no one came in. Then the LORD said to Joshua,"See I have delivered Jericho into your hands. Joshua 6:1 to 2. Moses and the Burning bush (part one) NIV Now Moses was attending the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he lead his flock to the far side of the desert and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the LORD appeared to him in flames of fire within a bush. Moses saw that through the bush was on fire it did not burn up. So Moses thought,"I will go over and see this strange sight--why the bush does not burn up." Exodus 3:1-3. When the LORD saw that he went over to look, God called to Moses from the bush,"Moses, Moses!" And Moses said,"Here I am."Exodus 3:4 "Do not come any closer,"God said. "Take off you scandals for the place where you are standing is holy ground. "Then he said,"I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham. the God of Issac, and the God of Jacob." At this Moses fell on his face because he was afraid to look at God." Exodus 3:5-6 The LORD said,"I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey--the land of the Canaanites, the Hittities, Amoritis, Perrites, Hivites and Jebusities.
