Poem
I thought you would never come; my heart is on the run, I thought you would never come; I will wait until the day is done. Daylight is screaming in my face and the rats have infested the human race, they are nibbling at my feet and crawling underneath the sheets; and the beets are kneeling on the door and carrots are moving from door to door. Nature is always on time and the universe is mine; nature is not in a hurry and the fruits don’t ripe before the appointed time. I can never forget the look on your face when you stepped out of that train and you held on to the rail, it’s as if your muscles had collapsed and your heart betrayed you and there was no one to guide you, but the heaven is always there to rescue you. I try to figure out what was taking place from a distance but I could not understand, someone must have stolen your purse and you looked uptight while waiting on the other side, I tried desperately to figure out what had gone wrong but all that I could hear was a rhythm less song humming in the distance . it appears as if you had gotten off at the wrong station and the questions kept coming. All of a sudden a tranquil smile came over your face, a car drove by and place your luggage in the trunk and drove off in a sudden speed. I knew that the time had come when destiny would merge with the sun. I try to take a deep breath and I felt a presence resting on my chest, it is not the typical feeling that you get when you ride on a crowded train and you are sandwich between two unknown entity, it is the reality that confronts you when someone invade your personal space and you are forced to say get out of my face. I searched desperately for the rhythm and I could hear my spirit sing. Will your heart betrays you if your long awaited dreams did not come true? Would you heart betrays you if you moved to the east and sign the decree. You have waited for so long for that grand occasion when you will sing that special song, the universe will join in the chorus and the mountains will shout and the people will celebrate in the street for one whole week, eating and drinking and dancing in the evening. Will your heart betray you if you ask her to marry you? She is waiting for the big question. I watched the train embarked on a spontaneous journey and the excitement began to grow and she got ten more years to continue the show and the tension that was there, suddenly disappeared and the universe open the gate and set her spirit free.
