Poem
If I call you will you come? Or will you wait until the day is done? If I call you will you come or will you say that the heaven is dining with the sun? I hope that you will agree to the miracle that is waiting by the sea, the time is approaching when you have to listen to what I have to say and do exactly as I say. The Journey began, more than two thousand years ago when you and I were not a part of the show, the universe was dead and Moses plague was crawling all over pharaoh's bed, the frogs were hiding in the shoe and crickets got stuck in the glue, the locus swarm the fields and fed on everything that they could eat but pharaoh would not relent to mosses decree until his son was struck down with a dangerous disease. The day breaks with the sizzling heat massaging my feet and the loudspeaker in the background drowning out the annoying sounds and I quite my spirit with cold water from the pipe and the pigeons fly from roof to roof with a profound message for me and you. A silent war was going on with the ferocious dogs across the street, they were barking angrily at pedestrians walking on the road; their thunderous voices send shock waves throughout the entire town, I looked all around but the dog's keeper was nowhere to be found. The dogs gather in packs and chase the people all the way to the top, more than a dozen dogs gather around, barking and biting at sticks and stones, creating commotion in the town and the morning drags on. I wasn’t sure where to begin so I let go of everything and let my spirit sing, tranquility sweeps over my shoulder and I felt the boldness building up in the bottom of my belly and for one moment I know that you will be happy. If I call you, will you come? let’s go shopping and have some fun, the restaurants are open, the business are growing and there is enough money for everybody, we can go bowling, horseback riding or we can stop at the casino in new York and gamble in the basement in the dark. There is so much we can do if you come and try on the new pair of shoes, I have a reservation at the finest Italian restaurant and you can mingle with the foreign dignitaries and get a chance to meet with the Italian parishioners. If I call you, will you come? I want to hear from you before the day is done, we have some important business to complete so let m know when you are free, If I call you, will you come?
