Poem
I wake up out of my midnight slumber to the sounds of barking dogs across the street attacking the people while they walk on the road. An army of dogs converge in front of the gate, communicating with one another in dog language; they stood up like men in uniform guarding the entrance; young and old and some as young as three months old, stood in the middle of the road pulling their mothers breast and barking in the street. The commotion decreases when someone hurled a rock stone at them. Sweat is running all over my face soaking my shirt straight down to my waist, I am sweating all over my skin and water is dripping from my skirt and saturated in the earth , I cannot cool the temperature down because no one is around, the path that leads to nowhere is intimidating the universe with fear. I have been on this forgotten path for five long years and you pretend as if you don’t care, you create all form of frivolous games and brought the universe to shame. How much more can I endure? How much longer must I wander around the shore, with strange smell coming from the kingdom of hell, the water is riding up my knee and the fishermen are battling it out on the rough sea trying to find their way home. The compass on top of the old light house spills it light into the sea and guide the fisherman out of the dark. It’s like I have lived here for more than a century and the ghost of ancient time come back to haunt me, I can see them walking up and down the corridor, I can hear them running up and down in the ceiling and I listen to them bad mouthing and back stabbing my friends, the wind is pulling the substance out of the sea, with a vision of hope stretching across the globe. Come and share this moment with me and tell me what you see, the struggle in your mind is fighting a multitude on the other side. I have no weapon in my hand except for a guitar and a musical band, I have no place to call home and I lodge in the bushes where the devil roams. The birds keep my company and I decide the trafficker's destiny and at nights when the owl starts to growl, I used the horrified sounds and make music to tease my passionate soul. My skin is dry and the sun has burnt the tears out of my eyes, I can hear you calling and the strangers are moving in, the valley is laden with grapes and the vines are running all over the place, the entrance to the canal is full and more than hundred gondola stringed up with lights lined up to take the people on the other side and suddenly the forgotten path came alive. Stores are open, business is growing and money is flowing, I have to move heaven and earth to get out of the dirt and get back on the path that leads me out of the dark.
