Poem
On this faithful evening! I was very curious about, The issues and affairs of life. I was walking on the street, With thoughts of growth all over my mind. I came across a very old man, Who's old enough to father my father. He called in a very low tune saying, Little boy, I have idea what's going on, In your mind but not your life. Hear me now he said, abide to these words, and thy will flourish in all thy dealings. Whatever dreams or goals you have in life, Always starts from where you are, With what you have, he said. I stood in shock and took a step closer... And he said...Time reveals it all. The affairs and issues of life are not, To be done in haste. Sometimes what you see can be deceiving, he said. Not all that glitters are are gold. Things unfold according to their season, He keep saying... To everything there's a season. Season of tending the garden, and a reaping reason. Your mind is your power, the thoughts you harbor, grows to produce action in you. He keep saying... Whatever brick life throws at you, Use it as a stepping stone, Not an excuse for relenting. Never say or act when angry, For you'll always regret your deeds. Then he said... I can talk from now, until eternity saying much, If you don't understand , I've said nothing. A word well said, is enough for the wise, Don't just live and exist, leave a legacy, he said. The man that had fully lived is the man, Who live a purposeful life. With a smile on his face, Goodbye he said. He turned and walked away before I could ask a question. He's no where to be find, before I could say thanks. These are the advice from an elderly man, I met in the streets. Then I said to me, Little did I know answers are everywhere, if you Seek or ask.
